Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to establish rapport and gather essential information to document cases accurately from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured evaluations, observation, and clinical interviews.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that engage clients, reflecting their unique needs, whether for individuals, couples, or families.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress within their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to follow up on clients admitted to hospitals and coordinate comprehensive care.

• Identify potential behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement preventative strategies and interventions.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, equipping them with resources to promote understanding and stability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele, including individuals and families dealing with a range of mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a mental health counselor, you will play a crucial role in offering culturally competent care that respects and values the unique backgrounds of your clients. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A pass score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE to enhance your credibility as a mental health professional.

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and effective interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients, creating a safe and encouraging therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a telehealth setting, to navigate virtual engagement effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
