Work Environment\n

As a licensed counselor working in a remote setting, you will primarily interact with clients through secure telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document detailed case histories, from initial consultations through the duration of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform targeted treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring to address unique challenges.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques based on client needs and therapeutic goals.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to meet evolving mental health needs.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention plans.

• Follow up with clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with medical professionals.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, fostering a supportive network for client recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, necessitating a strong understanding of cultural competencies in therapy and a commitment to providing respectful and individualized care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) within the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in clinical mental health counseling.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, with a focus on accurate and timely documentation.

• Knowledge of physical health conditions and addiction disorders that may influence mental health treatment.

• Familiarity with guidelines established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the effects of psychotropic medications.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, combined with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred but not required.
