Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on the unique goals and requirements of each client.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other specialized approaches to address client needs effectively.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, possible treatment options, and self-care strategies, fostering informed decision-making about their mental health.

• Monitor client progress consistently, making adjustments to treatment plans as required, while documenting all interactions and developments in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to refine and enhance therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals and families experiencing mood disorders, relationship issues, and significant life transitions. You will be tasked with providing support to clients from various backgrounds, ensuring cultural competency and respect for diversity in therapeutic practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• Current and active licensing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling or therapy in a mental health setting, demonstrating expertise in managing diverse client needs.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable the establishment of a secure and trustworthy relationship with clients.

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to clients’ experiences and concerns.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, contributing to effective administration and efficient client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with multiple therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to structural family therapy, strategic systems therapy, narrative therapy, trans-generational therapy, and communication therapy.

• Experience with conducting group therapy sessions is a plus.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
