Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of client symptoms related to mood disorders.

• Work closely with clients to develop individualized, culturally sensitive treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated and holistic client care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to refine skills and stay updated with best practices.

• Advocate for clients, working towards destigmatization of mental health issues and addressing their unique needs effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with clients experiencing mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. This position may also involve providing support to vulnerable populations, such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role will be crucial in assisting clients to navigate their challenges, connect with resources, and foster resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
