Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized assessments and develop personalized therapy plans that directly address the specific challenges faced by your clients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy, tailored to the diverse needs of clients.

• Engage in group therapy sessions, family counseling, and couples therapy to facilitate communication and healing among clients.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring quality patient care and confidentiality.

• Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients, incorporating insights and strategies from other healthcare professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LPC at Norwood Counseling Center, you will work primarily with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients often struggle with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties. You will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to those who may have limited access to traditional mental health services, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where clients feel safe and empowered to share their stories.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
