Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining a regular workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our outpatient office setting promotes professional development, allowing seamless coordination with fellow mental health providers and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to understand patients' mental health needs and develop customized treatment plans that address individual goals.

• Engage in direct therapeutic sessions where you will listen to patients, helping them articulate their challenges related to trauma and emotional well-being.

• Diagnose mental health disorders and design tailored coping strategies that empower patients to navigate their emotional landscape more effectively.

• Provide ongoing patient support by monitoring progress and making necessary modifications to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social and medical agencies, to connect patients with essential community resources and services.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma coping mechanisms, enabling them to manage stress better and build resilience.

• Remain current in the field by attending continuing education courses to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and implement evidence-based practices into treatment.

• Contribute to the overall mission of addressing the prevalent need for proper assessment and support of patients who have experienced trauma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients facing various mental health challenges, which include anxiety, depression, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. You will employ a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, fostering a safe space where patients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in New York.
\n
• A minimum of three years of experience specifically working with trauma patients, demonstrating the ability to manage complex emotional and psychological issues.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate documentation and patient management processes.

• Exceptional communication skills that allow for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
