Foxtail Palm Motion Physical Therapy Services is a leading orthopedic outpatient private practice located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. We pride ourselves on providing individualized care that prioritizes the well-being of our patients. Our team consists of dedicated professionals, including two seasoned physical therapists and a licensed physical therapy assistant, all committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Elizabeth. You will be working in a collaborative environment that focuses on patient-centered care. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing you with a consistent schedule that encourages work-life balance. The practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance, allowing for a direct and meaningful engagement with each individual we treat.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans to meet their individual rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring each session is personalized and effective.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions designed to promote pain relief, enhance mobility, and support recovery.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription to improve clients' strength, flexibility, and overall function.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, helping them understand their conditions and care plans.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans based on progress and patient feedback.
• Document all services provided accurately, utilizing EMR software such as WebPT to maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient management.
• Advocate for non-surgical alternatives to enhance recovery and reduce reliance on pain medications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Our patient population includes a diverse range of individuals, from active athletes looking to recover from injuries to seniors seeking mobility restoration. Your expertise will help these patients navigate their rehabilitation, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs that align with patients' needs and capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient care processes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
