Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations and ongoing assessments to better understand clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions.

• Developing individualized treatment plans and recovery interventions for clients based on their unique needs, facilitating individual and group sessions that encourage personal growth and healing.

• Monitoring clients' progress throughout their treatment, making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Providing resources for clients and their families, helping them navigate challenges and understanding the impacts of mental health on relationships and daily functioning.

• Following up with psychiatrists and health care providers for clients admitted to hospitals to ensure continuity of care.

• Documenting all sessions and interventions in the electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practice standards.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW).

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for documentation and client management.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with other health professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

Prior experience in mental health counseling is essential, particularly with knowledge of addiction disorders and underlying physical and emotional health conditions. Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and a strong understanding of the effects of medically-prescribed drugs will be advantageous. Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling is preferred, as it will help you adapt to our digital work environment quickly.
