Work Environment

At Functional Physical Therapy, we operate an onsite facility that emphasizes a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both our team members and patients. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, fostering a balance between professional dedication and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized one-on-one therapy sessions, effectively managing treatment for 1-2 patients per hour to maximize patient engagement and effectiveness.
• Implement and adjust therapy techniques utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient mobility and pain management.
• Develop comprehensive and adaptable treatment plans rooted in thorough assessments and continuous evaluations of patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation using WebPT, ensuring seamless communication with fellow medical professionals regarding patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your compassionate and patient-centered approach will serve a diverse clientele, primarily individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. By utilizing a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training, you will significantly contribute to restoring your patients' functionality and independence. You will have the opportunity to work with post-operative patients, athletes, and those experiencing pain management issues, allowing you to apply your expertise across a varied spectrum of rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. A Master's or Doctorate in a related field is preferred.
• Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, an active California Physical Therapy license.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy environment, particularly in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies.
