Work Environment\n

As a remote telehealth provider, you will enjoy the flexibility of a virtual work setting while ensuring that your clients receive high-quality, immediate access to therapeutic support. You will operate from the comfort of your home, conducting sessions using secure telecommunication platforms that prioritize patient confidentiality. The position is full-time, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, some flexibility in hours may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, establishing a foundation for tailored therapeutic approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and promoting overall mental health.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating exercises and discussions that empower patients to process their trauma and foster healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated, patient-centered care that addresses all aspects of mental health.

• Provide crisis intervention support during times of trauma-related emergencies, using your expertise to stabilize and assist clients effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously provide the highest level of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. You will be tasked with creating supportive therapeutic relationships that help these clients feel safe and understood as they navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A proven track record of delivering trauma-informed care and understanding trauma-related disorders, including effective therapeutic modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
\n
• Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively, providing a strong support network for clients in need.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications essential for a remote work setting.

• A collaborative spirit, ready to contribute positively to our multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure professional experience in providing mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-related cases.

Compensation and Benefits\n
