Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, engaging patients to explore their trauma history and current psychological well-being.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions designed to guide patients through their trauma processing, helping them cultivate effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate with a diverse team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate assistance to those in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, managing symptoms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities concerning trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by varying degrees of trauma, including survivors of physical or emotional abuse, those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients are diverse, and you will be expected to adopt a culturally sensitive and individualized approach to therapy that acknowledges and addresses their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New Jersey as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed therapeutic modalities and resilience-building techniques.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems as well as other relevant computer applications necessary for telehealth practice.
\n
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to integrated care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have a deep understanding of trauma-focused therapies. Experience working in diverse settings and familiarity with group therapy modalities will be particularly beneficial in fostering a supportive and healing environment for our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
