You will interact regularly with other licensed professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to client care. Our platform facilitates seamless communication through advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, which leads to efficient documentation and case management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and detailed interviews of clients to determine their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process.

• Analyze evaluation results to develop and implement individualized treatment plans which encompass appropriate interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions aimed at addressing client needs through both individual and group therapy, promoting peer support and shared learning.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving mental health conditions.
\n
• Engage in collaborative case management with psychiatrists and primary care physicians, ensuring clients who require hospitalization receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Proactively identify potential setbacks in recovery and devise strategies to overcome barriers that could impede a client's mental health journey.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing educational resources and strategies to assist in managing behavioral challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health theories and practices, with emphasis on current trends in psychotherapy.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health records, specifically AVATAR or similar systems, to enhance the efficiency of documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing mental health counseling within a clinical setting, with a preference for experience in treating addiction disorders.

• Deep familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with clients who have complex physical and emotional health conditions.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster strong therapeutic relationships and facilitate effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.

• A genuine empathy for clients and their families, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
