Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify clients' trauma histories and areas needing support.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering coping strategies and facilitating healing conversations.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions and support, maintaining a calm demeanor in high-stress scenarios.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with valuable resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation following legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and ensure high-quality trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and various life-altering events. You will support individuals as they navigate the emotional and psychological challenges tied to their experiences, fostering healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• A compassionate, non-judgmental approach combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• A calm, composed demeanor in high-pressure situations, ensuring effective support when clients need it most.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and a familiarity with computer applications relevant to clinical practice.

• Astrong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, optimizing client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value passion and dedication to trauma therapy. Experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions significantly enhances your application.

Compensation and Benefits\n
