Work Environment\n

This position affords the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide critical mental health services while enjoying a work-life balance. Typically, our therapists work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the scheduling needs of our patients. You will have access to modern technological tools for teletherapy and electronic health record management to facilitate efficient client interactions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments that enable you to understand the unique experiences of each patient and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client, incorporating their cultural and personal backgrounds to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health concerns, promoting resilience, recovery, and overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure that patients receive cohesive and effective care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing strong crisis management skills to help patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources that can assist in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance collaborative practice.

• Stay informed of current research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations in mental health therapy, ensuring your practice is always informed and effective.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a multicultural outpatient population, ensuring that care is not only relevant but also resonant with their distinct identities and backgrounds. Our clients often include individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants seeking mental health services in a safe and affirming environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology obtained from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A robust understanding of various mental health disorders, and a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to diverse populations.
\n
• Demonstrated experience delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies.
\n
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills combined with poise in high-stress scenarios.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with proven experience building rapport with a diverse range of clients.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other pertinent software applications.
\n
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and upholding confidentiality.

• A capacity to work well in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and familiarity with the particular challenges they face in accessing and receiving mental health care.

• Previous engagement in community outreach or education related to mental health services.
