The Presence of Mind Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this remotely-based position, you will be tasked with providing high-quality mental health services to a diverse client population through telehealth modalities. Your responsibilities will encompass the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders, ensuring that clients receive tailored interventions and ongoing support in their mental health journey.

As a remote full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will utilize secure digital platforms to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews, utilizing a structured approach to assess clients' symptoms and psychosocial history.
• Document every client's journey, from the first consultation through every stage of treatment, ensuring thorough case management and reporting.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that not only encourage participation but also foster a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on client feedback and evolving mental health needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and other mental health specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Assist client families in understanding and managing mental health issues, providing them with resources and strategies to support their loved ones effectively.
• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and devise strategies to mitigate these challenges, promoting resilience and sustaining progress during treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients served by Presence of Mind Counseling Center encompass a wide demographic, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. By offering virtual counseling services, we are able to support clients in various settings, making our services accessible to those who may face barriers in accessing traditional in-person care. Your expertise and sensitivity will play a crucial role in enhancing the mental health landscape for these diverse clients, including vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically experience with AVATAR or similar software for case documentation and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening and client rapport building.
• In-depth understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and the ability to integrate knowledge of clients' physical health into treatment considerations.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a track record of successful client outcomes.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches and evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Experience working with clients facing addiction disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, providing integrated treatment plans.
• Previous engagement with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to a well-rounded approach to client care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We also provide a sign-on bonus to successful candidates to support their transition into our practice.
