Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside trained birth workers to provide essential guidance to new and expectant families.
\n
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to foster holistic wellness and build supportive networks among birthing individuals and their families.
\n
• Actively participate in clinical consultations and interprofessional learning sessions to enhance knowledge and share insights.
\n
• Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner to maintain compliance and facilitate quality care.
\n
• Provide direct behavioral health services, including assessments, counseling, and case management, focusing on the unique needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Work collaboratively with prenatal care team members—such as medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants—to ensure integrated and quality care for clients.
\n
• Perform any additional duties as assigned that contribute to the smooth operation of our services and the support of our families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting Black birthing families, a group identified as experiencing significant disparities in access to mental health care and overall wellness. This role provides you with the opportunity to make a real difference in the community by helping clients navigate the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood while addressing their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid license in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
\n
• A Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a diverse clientele and interdisciplinary team members.

• The ability to work autonomously and efficiently while also recognizing when to seek assistance or collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

Though not mandatory, the following attributes will enhance your candidacy:

• Experience working with prenatal and postpartum populations, especially in community health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
