This position is fully remote, offering flexibility and comfort while maintaining a professional outpatient counseling practice. Inner Calm Counseling Center provides the necessary technology tools to ensure our counselors can effectively engage with clients in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations with clients, utilizing effective interviewing techniques to gather comprehensive mental health histories and document findings accurately.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through standardized assessments and clinical observations.
\n
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual needs while incorporating feedback and progress monitoring.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based strategies.
\n
• Maintain thorough documentation throughout the treatment process, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and legal regulations.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic client care.
\n
• Monitor treatment progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to account for changes in client circumstances or response to therapy.

• Provide education and support to family members, equipping them with tools and strategies to manage behavioral challenges related to mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients may present with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, and trauma-related concerns. As a mental health counselor, you will tailor therapeutic approaches to fit the unique circumstances of each client, fostering resilience and promoting positive change.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar software.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to clients and caregivers.

• A commitment to continuous learning and application of best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Knowledge of addiction disorders and co-occurring disorders, as well as their treatment modalities.

• Understanding of the impact of psychotropic medications and ability to collaborate with prescribing medical professionals.

• Experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and understanding cultural sensitivities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
