Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will undertake a variety of responsibilities aimed at promoting client well-being and ensuring effective treatment outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, gathering detailed patient histories, and documenting findings from initial consultations through to treatment completion.

• Assessing the mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs of clients to inform the development of tailored intervention plans.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that respond to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques grounded in evidence-based practices to foster client engagement and progress.

• Monitoring client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with fellow mental health professionals.

• Working closely with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate intervention strategies and share relevant updates regarding clients’ conditions.

• Providing follow-up support to clients, particularly those who have been referred for additional services or hospitalization.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR or similar platforms is favored to enhance documentation and client management.
