BOOKKEEPER

BookkeeperThe bookkeeper will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, manage day-to-day accounting transactions, and support the organization's overall financial health. You will record transactions, reconcile accounts, and help ensure the integrity of financial data across the business.To do well in this job, you should be comfortable working with numbers, have a strong grasp of basic accounting principles, and take pride in accuracy and organization. Top candidates will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesRecording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting processReconciling bank and credit card statements against the general ledgerProcessing accounts payable, including verifying and entering vendor invoices and scheduling paymentsProcessing accounts receivable, including preparing and issuing customer invoices and tracking payments receivedGathering daily checks and cash and preparing bank depositsMaintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactionsAssisting with payroll processing and related record-keepingPreparing trial balances and supporting month-end and year-end close processesProducing basic financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet) by collecting and organizing dataIdentifying and correcting discrepancies and promptly notifying relevant partiesMaintaining organized digital and hard-copy records to optimize retrievalEnsuring data is backed up and financial files are kept confidential and secureOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field preferred2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceExcellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly ExcelStrong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles (debits/credits, GL, accruals)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speedProficient touch-typing skillsExperience with QuickBooks Online requiredProficiency in Excel requiredRequired Skills:Extremely detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracyMust possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skillsMust be organized, have a strong work ethic, and possess well-defined analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work both independently and as a member of a teamAbility to solve practical problemsTrustworthy with confidential financial informationPhysical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hearThe employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipmentThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 poundsSpecific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
