Work Environment

The position is based in a hospital setting where patient engagement and satisfaction are paramount. The working schedule consists of four ten-hour shifts during day time hours with no weekend duties, promoting a work-life balance for our staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient histories and comprehensive physical examinations to ensure accurate assessments.
• Order and perform relevant diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and physical therapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on in-depth evaluations and clinical protocols.
• Regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, adjusting plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Provide counseling and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options, ensuring they understand their journey toward recovery.
• Execute specialized procedures, such as trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, utilizing ultrasound guidance when required.
• Manage the coordination of care by making referrals to specialists as necessary and ensuring smooth transitions for patients.
• Review and analyze lab and radiology reports, and remain vigilant in monitoring prescription medication for compliance and safety.
• Maintain a supportive and informative communication channel with patients, especially those facing compliance challenges.
• Participate in the on-call process for after-hours patient management, providing continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse group of patients experiencing various forms of chronic pain. This includes individuals suffering from post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, or pain associated with chronic illnesses. The Nurse Practitioner will need to demonstrate an understanding of the psychological and emotional aspects of pain management, providing not just physical treatment but also emotional support to foster a trusting relationship with patients.

Qualifications

• Board-certified as a Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• Completion of a Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies.
• Minimum one year of experience in pain management is preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Possess a current and unrestricted DEA license.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance.
• Possess a friendly demeanor and a compassionate approach to care.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on excellent patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year in pain management is required, experience utilizing advanced therapies and interventional techniques is highly valued. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 165,000 annually, based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
