Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a school setting in Jessup, MD, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The typical workweek offers a balanced schedule free from weekend shifts, allowing for greater work-life harmony. In this dynamic environment, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care and enhance the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in our cardiology clinic, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and follow-up appointments for an average of 16 to 20 cardiology patients daily.
• Performing diagnostic assessments including physical examinations, EKG interpretations, and ordering relevant laboratory tests.
• Administering stress tests to evaluate patients' cardiovascular health.
• Developing personalized care plans and providing education to patients on managing chronic heart conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to implement evidence-based practices for improved patient outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in cardiology and nursing practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to seniors, many of whom may have complex medical histories. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) is required.
• A current DEA license to prescribe medications.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a medical or cardiology setting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
