Work Environment

Located in Jessup, Maryland, within a school facility, the clinic fosters collaboration and innovation among its healthcare professionals. The work setting is diligently designed to promote a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. The role involves direct patient interaction, where you will be at the forefront of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide extensive patient education concerning cardiac conditions, treatment options, and recovery processes before and after surgical procedures.
• Coordinate patient care effectively, ensuring thorough and continuous monitoring of patient readiness throughout all stages of their clinical journey.
• Conduct stress testing including regular, echo, and nuclear tests, interpreting results to assist in establishing diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Assist patients with managing their International Normalized Ratio (INR) to ensure optimal anticoagulation management as part of their treatment plan.
• Oversee clinical workflows, ensuring efficient operations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, nurses, and administrative staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will cater primarily to patients with various cardiovascular conditions. This will range from individuals with chronic cardiac issues requiring ongoing management to patients needing pre- and post-operative care. Understanding the unique challenges and educational needs of this patient demographic is crucial for fostering effective communication and trust.

Qualifications

• A valid nursing license in the State of Maryland.
• A Master’s Degree in Nursing or a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 110,000 to USD 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
