Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - Full-Time Outpatient Role

Work Environment

Located in Bowie, Maryland, our outpatient office provides a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. As a Nurse Practitioner in this setting, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, engaging in meaningful interactions with patients while using advanced diagnostic equipment for stress tests and other evaluations. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to formulate effective care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about various cardiac conditions, treatment options, and prevention strategies, addressing any queries before and after procedures.
• Coordinate patient care processes within the clinic, ensuring all necessary preparations and follow-ups are executed seamlessly.
• Administer and oversee stress testing procedures, including Regular, Echo, and Nuclear tests, to monitor heart function and diagnose potential issues.
• Assist in the management of antithrombotic therapy by effectively overseeing patients' INR levels and providing relevant education.
• Collaborate closely with our clinical team to enhance workflow efficiencies and promote outstanding patient care across the board.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
• A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology or related specialty fields is advantageous, although a strong interest in cardiac care can be a substitute for direct experience.

Compensation and Benefits
