This full-time position entails offering specialized mental health services to children and adolescents through a remote telehealth setting from our headquarters in Rockford, Illinois. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to maintain a flexible work-life balance while providing essential telehealth services to our patient population. You’ll engage with families through secure online platforms, ensuring access to quality mental health care from the comfort of their homes. Our work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, gathering critical data to guide effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the developmental needs and familial contexts of young clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to address various mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at strengthening family dynamics and enhancing support networks for children and adolescents.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a cohesive treatment plan that addresses the multifaceted needs of patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention services, ensuring the immediate safety and therapeutic support of young clients during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and treatment modalities, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss ongoing patient care and share helpful insights.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices within child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance your therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will center on children and adolescents facing diverse mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Your efforts will be directed toward fostering a supportive therapeutic environment, aiding in the overall improvement of their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.

• Demonstrable knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to children and their guardians.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect with patients and their families empathetically.

• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient management of patient data.

• A collaborative spirit to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, committed to shared goals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a mental health therapist working with children and adolescents.

• Background in crisis intervention and management of acute mental health situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
