Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies while considering the unique development stages of each patient.

• Administer therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions, focusing on a myriad of mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering parents and caregivers to foster supportive environments and enhance familial relationships.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated treatment plans are executed effectively.

• Offer critical crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, providing immediate support and direction to young patients and families.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available resources, and treatment modalities to promote understanding and engagement.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations regarding mental health care.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continued professional development activities to enhance personal and collective expertise.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating best practices into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. By working directly with young individuals and their families, you will play a vital role in supporting their mental health needs and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is essential.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably working with children and adolescents.

• Strong academic knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and a variety of treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital applications to manage patient care efficiently.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with an empathetic and child-centered approach to treatment.

• A demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with young patients and their families.

• Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, any additional experience in behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, or family therapy will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic practices will also enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
