Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while engaging in an outpatient office setting that values teamwork and holistic care. The typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the specific needs and circumstances of children and adolescents seeking help.

• Develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, keeping in mind each client’s developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in creating supportive home environments conducive to their child's growth and recovery.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care that encompasses all aspects of a young person’s mental health.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients and their families.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options, fostering understanding and active participation in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment progress, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to remain at the forefront of best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Stay updated on current research and advancements in mental health treatment to integrate new knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work predominantly with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. This role demands a compassionate and tailored approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of each client's unique context, including family dynamics, social interactions, and developmental stages.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; however, a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred for the highest level of competence.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting is highly desirable.

• Strong proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to child and adolescent mental health care.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering effective individual and family therapy.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with current technologies that enhance therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
