Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of children and adolescents, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their psychological, social, and educational backgrounds.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring a seamless experience for clients across various treatment modalities.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support to address acute mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, discussing treatment options, community resources, and useful coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on young individuals ranging from preschool age to young adulthood, each facing unique challenges that impact their mental health. Clients may present with varying degrees of anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral issues, or developmental concerns. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar credentials in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy, emphasizing a compassionate, child-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
