Our typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening sessions as required by patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments focused on evaluating the social, emotional, and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that consider the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and play therapy, in your sessions to effectively address anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and other mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure cohesive, holistic care for each patient, optimizing outcomes through coordinated approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention support and immediate care during mental health emergencies, demonstrating expertise in managing acute crises involving children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Our therapeutic approach is individualized, ensuring each patient receives tailored support that considers their unique experiences and family background. You will be a pivotal support system for young patients, guiding them and their families through often challenging times.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and therapeutic approaches.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
