Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, accurately identifying their needs and concerns.

• Develop and execute customized treatment plans tailored to individual developmental stages and family circumstances, incorporating input from both clients and parents.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers with skills to foster a nurturing, supportive home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals within our organization to deliver coordinated and holistic patient care.

• Offer timely crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, applying de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and quality of care.

• Engage regularly in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education activities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated on cutting-edge research, best practices, and developments in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and adolescents who are navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to young clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
