Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of a vibrant community health clinic. You will work with skilled child psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team, engaging in regular consultations and team meetings to foster a dynamic collaborative atmosphere. Our work schedule spans Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. This hybrid environment allows you to integrate your clinical expertise with the freedom to work from home.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s developmental stage, mental health conditions, and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address a range of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, offering guidance and strategies to parents and caregivers for nurturing a supportive home environment.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's health are considered.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their mental health journeys.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards using an electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and learning from fellow professionals.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, applying new knowledge to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex behavioral disorders. Your empathetic approach and expertise will help create a safe and sensitive space for our young clients, fostering trust and encouraging open communication. Supporting both patients and their families will be essential as you work to normalize mental health discussions within the family context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic methods, and family dynamics.

• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills, with a child-centered approach that builds rapport.

• Competency with electronic health records (EHR) platforms and familiarity with technology for remote therapeutic practices.

• Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment and encourage open dialogue.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
