Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, evaluating the specific needs of children and adolescents, and determining appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the developmental stages of patients, ensuring each plan reflects family dynamics and environmental factors.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy to address conditions like anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to enhance communication and create supportive home environments for young patients.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide coordinated care, sharing insights and strategies for improved outcomes.

• Respond to mental health crises promptly, providing immediate support and intervention to children and their families during emergencies.

• Educate patients and families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their health journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings and professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will focus on a diverse population of children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns. You will be at the forefront of providing support to vulnerable young individuals, ensuring they receive the compassionate care necessary for their mental and emotional growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, with demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches relevant to this demographic.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families through a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficiency in computer applications will enhance your efficiency in documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
