Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, engaging clients through preliminary interviews and documenting all details from initial consultation through discharge.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments, addressing individual and collective needs within various treatment contexts including individual, couple, and group therapy.
\n
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group interventions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote recovery and personal growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress against treatment goals, making adjustments to strategies as necessary to enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers in developing holistic treatment plans.
\n
• Provide follow-up communication with clients who have been hospitalized to ensure continuity of care and reassessment upon discharge.
\n
• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage their loved ones' mental health challenges.

• Handle referrals and connect clients to necessary services and resources, ensuring they have access to a full spectrum of support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients comprise a diverse range of individuals including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other emotional or behavioral issues. Your role will involve tailoring interventions to address the unique circumstances of each client, fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; experience with AVATAR is preferred.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years experience in a mental health counseling role.

• Demonstrated knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and their applications, particularly in the context of community health.

• Familiarity with contemporary best practices in mental health counseling as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders or those requiring integration of behavioral health supports.
\n
• Understanding of pharmacological treatments and their impacts on mental health.
