Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, leveraging technology to connect with patients and their families while maintaining effective communication with our multidisciplinary team. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential requirements for occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the individual needs of children and adolescents, taking into account various developmental and familial factors.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions to effectively address a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering parents and caregivers to cultivate an emotionally supportive atmosphere at home.
\n
• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care, ensuring that each patient's treatment process is seamless.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services to children and adolescents during mental health emergencies with a focus on immediate support and safety.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, resources, and treatment modalities, fostering understanding and promoting advocacy.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and sharing best practices to enhance patient care.

• Stay updated on research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to ensure the application of current best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents who are facing various mental health challenges. Our treatment plans cater to a diverse population with varying developmental backgrounds, ensuring that services are equitable and responsive to each young person’s unique needs. As a counselor, you will play a significant role in promoting resilience and self-advocacy among young clients, helping them navigate through their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Possession of current and valid licensure in the state of New York as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT .

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment strategies.
\n
• Proficient in delivering both individual and group therapy to young clients and their families.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and a strong comfort level with technology.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar therapeutic setting is preferred.

• Previous experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within mental health or healthcare settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is $115,000 – $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a sign-on bonus to attract top talent.
