Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately assess the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Collaborate regularly with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for young patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment plans, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential session documentation, following all legal and ethical guidelines related to mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses exclusively on children and adolescents, addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid credentials as either a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar licensure within New York State.

• A solid foundation of knowledge concerning current practices in child and adolescent mental health.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on building positive relationships with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and maintain continuity of care.
