Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, understanding their unique emotional and developmental needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health issues while considering family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to children and adolescents, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.

• Provide family therapy sessions to support parents and caregivers in promoting a nurturing home environment.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention strategies and support during mental health emergencies involving children and their families.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Stay informed on current trends, research, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health care, promoting continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily serve children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and disruptive behavior disorders. Our practitioners emphasize a compassionate, evidence-based approach that respects the individuality of each child while promoting active family involvement in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on child and adolescent therapy.
\n
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated skills in delivering individual and family therapy to youth.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
\n
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in school-based mental health services or community outreach programs.

• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic techniques that cater to the developmental stages of children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
