Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs of children and adolescents seeking care.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each child’s developmental stage, family context, and specific mental health challenges.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of young clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to educate and guide parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing home environment that supports mental health.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals in a coordinated effort to deliver comprehensive care, which may include regular consultations and case review meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in situations requiring urgent mental health care for children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, resources within the community, and strategies for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with both legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Actively engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings to stay informed about emerging best practices and advancements in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents, offering targeted interventions and therapies to address a range of mental health issues. This includes a diverse population, with patients coming from various backgrounds, each presenting their unique challenges and family dynamics. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these young individuals towards healthier emotional and behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is mandatory.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.

• Experience working with children and adolescents, providing both individual and family therapy.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Ability to build rapport, establish trust with clients, and foster supportive relationships with children and their families.

• Proficient in EHR systems and standard office software applications.
\n
• Team-oriented with the capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting focused on child and adolescent therapy is preferred, as it allows for greater fluency in managing various mental health scenarios.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to a virtual environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 105,000 per year, augmented by performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus for successful candidates.
