Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, considering each patient’s developmental stage and family context.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations, effectively addressing emergencies as they arise.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records of therapy sessions and patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with advances in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents who may be experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Your work will not only involve therapy with the young patients but also working closely with their families to promote a supportive and understanding environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of direct experience working within a clinical or therapeutic environment focused on children and adolescents.

• Knowledge and skills in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms to manage appointments and documentation efficiently.

• A solid commitment to collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and educational specialists, for comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 annually, complemented by performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus for new hires.
