Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a professional work-life balance. You will work standard office hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient care needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents during initial consultations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the developmental stages and family dynamics of each young client.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively address mental health concerns.

• Provide targeted family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers in creating nurturing and supportive environments.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

• Respond to mental health crises involving children, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment possibilities, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years, providing targeted care to address their specific mental health needs. Your role will directly impact their emotional and psychological growth by facilitating access to effective treatment options that help them navigate their challenges. Family involvement will be a key aspect of your practice, as you work to equip parents and caregivers with tools and strategies to support their children's mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.

• Proficient in delivering both individual and family therapy to young clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a child-centered and empathetic approach.

• A proven ability to build trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of direct experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting is required. Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools is preferred, as our clinic utilizes technology to enhance patient access and convenience. Previous experience in a community health clinic or outpatient mental health environment will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
