Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients and families, considering personal histories, presenting concerns, and unique stressors associated with end-of-life scenarios.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address mental health needs, promote emotional well-being, and support the emotional journey of patients and their families throughout the hospice experience.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and supportive counseling, specifically tailored to the needs of patients coping with terminal illness and grief.

• Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions to assist in navigating the complex emotions associated with death, dying, and loss.

• Engage in crisis intervention for families dealing with sudden changes in condition or emotional distress, employing de-escalation techniques and managing urgent mental health needs.

• Deliver psychoeducation to patient families to foster understanding of grief processes and the importance of mental health care, providing resources for continued support.

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing clinical interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems as required.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
