Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and personal goals.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that directly address clients' addiction issues while incorporating strategies for managing co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing scientifically supported practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide coordinated care that meets the unique needs of each client.

• Involve and support clients’ families by educating them on addiction and recovery processes, fostering a supportive home environment.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As part of our treatment center, you will work closely with a diverse group of clients primarily dealing with substance use disorders and related mental health issues. Our client population may include individuals experiencing varying stages of addiction, from those in the early stages of recovery to those seeking ongoing support. This role plays a critical part in guiding clients toward constructive coping mechanisms and healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications\n

• Active and valid licensure as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or PsyD.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Demonstrated training or professional experience in addiction counseling and mental health treatment.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices for substance abuse and concurrent disorders.

• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with a proven ability to motivate clients toward change.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a substance abuse treatment setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with digital health tools and methods for virtual counseling, as well as knowledge of local resources and community services in Galena and the surrounding areas, will contribute to the effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
