$80k - $100kNeurodiversity Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Job Description
Position Overview\n
Neurodiversity Dialectical Behavior Therapy is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This full-time, remote position offers the unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals battling substance abuse while fostering their overall mental health. As a critical member of our team, you will support clients through their recovery journey, creating personalized treatment plans that aim for lasting change.
About the Organization\nAt Neurodiversity Dialectical Behavior Therapy, we pride ourselves on being a reputable outpatient treatment facility focused on compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing substance use disorders. Our commitment goes beyond mere treatment; we strive to empower clients and support their families, fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth. Our multidisciplinary team values collaboration and innovation, ensuring a robust support system for our clients as they navigate the complexities of recovery.
Work Environment\nOur treatment setting provides a safe and supportive online environment where clients can access care from the comfort of their homes. This flexibility accommodates the varying schedules of our clients, including evenings and weekends. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a team of professionals, including clinical psychologists, nurses, and case managers, ensuring integrated and comprehensive care that considers all aspects of a client’s well-being.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' histories with substance abuse as well as associated mental health conditions, using standardized screening tools and interviews. \n
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that holistically address both substance use and mental health challenges, employing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling clients to share experiences and gain insights in a supportive setting. \n
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure each client receives holistic care, tailoring recommendations for medications, additional therapies, or community support as needed. \n
- Engage families in the treatment process by providing educational resources and facilitating support sessions that promote understanding of the recovery journey. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client progress to comply with HIPAA and ethical guidelines while ensuring effective treatment continuity. \n
You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients who are confronting substance use challenges alongside co-occurring mental health issues. This includes individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and circumstances, all seeking to rebuild their lives. Your role will directly influence their recovery trajectory, fostering resilience, and promoting healthier lifestyles through structured support and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Current license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. \n
- Specialized training in the field of addiction counseling is highly preferred. \n
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to substance use disorders and concurrent mental health conditions. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build rapport, motivate clients, and facilitate change. \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaboration within the treatment team and maintaining documentation. \n
- \n
- A minimum of two years’ clinical experience specifically in addiction treatment or mental health counseling is desired, though recent graduates will be considered if they possess relevant training. \n
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and knowledge of community resources for client referrals. \n
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology platforms is advantageous, given the remote nature of the position. \n
- \n
- An attractive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. \n
- A comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off. \n
- Access to professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and further training in clinical practices. \n
- Supportive work culture that emphasizes collaboration, continuous supervision, and mentorship. \n
- The chance to dramatically impact clients' lives and contribute to a greater community by fostering long-term recovery options. \n
Our organization is committed to supporting the professional growth of our employees. With access to ongoing training and development resources, you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set and potentially take on leadership roles within the organization as we continue to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of our clients.
Why Join Our Team\nChoosing to work with Neurodiversity Dialectical Behavior Therapy means joining a passionate community dedicated to making a tangible difference in individuals' lives. As a mental health counselor, you will collaborate with innovative professionals who share your commitment to recovery and mental health wellness. Additionally, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of remote work while being fully supported by our dynamic team.
