Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Administering a diverse range of rehabilitation therapies and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance clinical outcomes in various patient scenarios, including post-surgical recovery and chronic pain management.
• Demonstrating exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive patient experience across all interactions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Educating and training patients and their caregivers on preventative and recovery practices, grounded in therapeutic techniques.
• Meeting and exceeding agreed-upon utilization goals and other business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass treating a broad spectrum of patients, focusing primarily on individuals dealing with orthopedic conditions. This may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, congenital disabilities, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your compassionate, patient-centered approach will help individuals restore their functional mobility and achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state license in physical therapy.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and word processing.
• Ability to establish rapport with patients, enabling them to achieve functional goals effectively.
• A strong desire to connect with clients positively and contribute to community health.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a clinic setting is advantageous, we welcome both newly graduated and seasoned therapists who share our values and commitment to exceptional patient care. Experience in a variety of specialties such as neurology, pediatrics, and sports medicine will be considered a plus.
