As an LCSW at our Detox Center, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the psychosocial and clinical facets of addiction recovery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to their diagnosis, illness, and treatment.

• Formulate, develop, and implement individualized care plans by applying appropriate social work interventions tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Collaborate actively with the healthcare team, engaging patients and their families in the planning and execution of care strategies.
\n
• Facilitate discharge planning by coordinating with consulting physicians, third-party payers, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions out of care.
\n
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding adaptation to illness and lifestyle modifications, promoting resilience and empowerment.
\n
• Utilize crisis intervention, brief therapy, and long-term therapeutic techniques, such as individual, group, and family therapies, to address mental health challenges.
\n
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations to provide support and guidance to patients and families outside of typical working hours.
\n
• Act as a clinical consultant or resource for other staff members and provide educational sessions for healthcare professionals regarding psychosocial issues in oncology.
\n
• Evaluate patients for mental health disorders, such as depression or anxiety, and provide short-term counseling as required.
\n
• Engage in community service initiatives through education, consultation, and research, aimed at improving resources for cancer survivors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our LCSW will primarily work with individuals undergoing detoxification and treatment for substance use disorders, as well as those experiencing co-occurring mental health issues. The position requires sensitivity and adherence to diverse patient backgrounds and situations, understanding the unique complexities involved in addiction recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of clinical practices in the areas of mental health and addiction treatment.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct psychosocial assessments and develop effective treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a detox or rehabilitation setting.

• Prior work with oncology patients is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
