Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct sessions from a private and conducive environment of your choice. Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with primary care providers to identify and address both mental health and psychosocial issues, acting as a vital member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments focusing on diagnostic evaluations and functional capabilities, and provide informed recommendations for treatment goals and plans to primary care providers.
\n
• Deliver targeted interventions for patients seeking mental health support, adjusting treatment methodologies based on individual needs.
\n
• Facilitate the evaluation of patients to determine the suitability for primary care treatments versus referrals to specialized mental health services.
\n
• Initiate follow-up processes to track patient progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary.
\n
• Create and implement relapse prevention strategies as required and assist patients in maintaining functional stability.
\n
• Identify 'at-risk' patients and develop intervention plans to mitigate the risk of deteriorating mental health conditions.
\n
• Coordinate comprehensive healthcare services encompassing both behavioral health and primary care, with patient consent extending connections outside the primary care setting.
\n
• Document patient progress meticulously in treatment charts while maintaining transparency with primary care providers regarding treatment outcomes and alterations.
\n
• Aid patients in following medical treatments prescribed by their primary care providers, including coping mechanisms for managing medication side effects.
\n
• Adhere strictly to the ethical codes for clinical professionals throughout your practice.
\n
• Perform any additional duties as assigned that align with the mission of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be serving a diverse patient population, primarily composed of veterans and their families who face various mental health challenges. Your expertise will enable significant positive outcomes in their emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field.

• Active and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning methodologies, and DSM-V diagnoses.

• Knowledge of and experience with family therapy, group therapy, and behavioral therapy strategies.
\n
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
\n
• Robust mental and physical health to meet the demands of this counseling position.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of the psychosocial impacts of mental health disorders on individuals, families, and the community.
\n
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems to enhance patient care.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with military veterans or similar populations is highly desirable.

• Previous telehealth experience will be advantageous.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth delivery systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
