Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, where you will provide physical therapy services within a home care environment. You will work closely with patients in their homes, which allows for a unique opportunity to assess their living situations, tailor therapy to their specific circumstances, and collaboratively develop effective treatment plans. A structured yet flexible schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm will help you maintain a healthy work-life balance while managing your patient load efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy care by developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Maintain an appropriate and manageable caseload, allowing for ample time and focus on each patient to foster strong therapeutic relationships.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and advanced orthopedic knowledge to evaluate, assess, and treat various physical impairments and functional limitations.
• Support patients in achieving functional goals through targeted exercise programs and non-surgical treatment options, minimizing dependence on medications.
• Conduct thorough progress evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring effective outcomes.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for precise documentation of patient information and treatment history.
• Foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, or managing chronic pain conditions. Our emphasis on non-hospital-based rehabilitation means that you will gain valuable experience in addressing a wide range of physical therapy challenges in a home setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Unblemished professional license with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic outpatient care with hands-on experience in manual therapy techniques.
• Strong ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols based on patient assessments.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems for thorough and accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in home care or outpatient environments.
• Advanced knowledge and ongoing education in current physical therapy methodologies, incorporating the latest research findings into practice.
• Demonstrated success in creating treatment plans that incorporate both therapeutic and wellness-focused strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
