Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments with new patients to determine mental health status, identifying any underlying issues that may impact treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans using evidence-based treatments that address specific mental health concerns.

• Provide ongoing therapeutic support during regular sessions, equipping patients with coping strategies and tools for overcoming their challenges.

• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) to document patient interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes while adhering to confidentiality standards.

• Refer patients to additional healthcare providers, including psychiatrists or specialists, when necessary, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and collaborate on treatment strategies.

• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will include a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing substance abuse challenges, those struggling with anxiety or depression, and patients dealing with eating disorders. You will work with adults, adolescents, and families, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs and cultivating a therapeutic alliance built on trust and respect.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and an ability to utilize culturally responsive and inclusive therapeutic methods.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse patient populations.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and comfort with various computer applications.

• Commitment to ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly those that target anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and substance use issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
