Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with symptoms of eating disorders, as well as any co-occurring mental health issues.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on findings from assessments, collaborating with clients to establish realistic goals for recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, specifically Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Lead therapy sessions focusing on addressing and reframing distorted beliefs related to food, body image, and self-esteem.

• Guide clients in cultivating healthy coping mechanisms, emotional regulation techniques, and strategies to overcome disordered eating patterns.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure continuity of care and to comprehensively address clients' overall needs.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, enhancing understanding and fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with industry standards.

• Engage in ongoing team meetings, case discussions, and opportunities for professional development to further enhance clinical skills in the treatment of eating disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role revolves around clients suffering from various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Therapists will work closely with individuals at different stages of their recovery journey, providing tailored support to help them achieve healthier relationships with food and self-image.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Tennessee.

• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic methods, especially CBT, DBT, and ACT, with a strong understanding of the complexities of eating disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and trust among clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling specifically addressing eating disorders will be highly regarded.
