Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health to establish their baseline status and identify areas for improvement.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based approaches to effectively address clients' mental health concerns.

• Engage in regular therapy sessions with clients, utilizing both individual and group formats to encourage personal growth and healing.

• Employ crisis intervention techniques when necessary, demonstrating a calm demeanor while navigating challenging situations.

• Provide referrals to additional healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and support groups, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.

• Document treatment processes and progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining accuracy and compliance with confidentiality guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as a counselor will encompass a diverse range of clients, including those grappling with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensed therapist designation (e.g., LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) in New York State.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience dealing with a variety of mental health conditions.

• Proficiency in applying evidence-based treatment modalities and the ability to adapt them to meet diverse client needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
