Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Levan Counseling, you will engage in a variety of essential tasks that directly contribute to our patients' recovery and well-being, including:

• Conducting detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and identify appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

• Employing evidence-based approaches to therapy, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated mental health care that addresses all aspects of a patient's health.

• Responding to crises and providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and offering resources to facilitate understanding and recovery.

• Maintaining comprehensive and confidential documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards to ensure the integrity of our practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed care approaches.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
