Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Echo Rehabilitation Center, your work will primarily take place onsite in patients' homes within the Walden area. This work setting requires not only clinical expertise but also strong interpersonal skills, as you will be establishing rapport with patients in a comfortable and familiar environment. You will typically work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, promoting a balanced work-life structure while actively contributing to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess each patient's physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive assessments that inform individualized treatment plans.
• Design and implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to enhance mobility, functionality, and overall well-being.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities, combined with structured exercise programs, to facilitate patient recovery.
• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and achieving set measurable goals.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home therapy techniques and preventive measures to promote long-term health and mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from elderly individuals recovering from surgery to younger adults rehabilitating from sports injuries. Many of our patients experience various physical limitations due to chronic conditions, orthopedic issues, or neurological concerns. Your ability to adapt treatment plans to the specific needs of each patient is essential for fostering positive recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Physical Therapist License is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; preferred candidates will possess a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a home care or rehabilitation setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans within the home care environment.

Compensation and Benefits
